The West Midlands Police will be the first department of the British police to run the all five-door electric micro car in full operational use. The police car version of the Mitsubishi i-MiEV will arrive in November this year while the first fleet of cars will arrive in December. The four-seat Mitsubishi i-MiEV Police Car gets an electric motor that makes 47kW / 64HP and 180Nm (132.8 lb-ft) of peak torque. Power is delivered to the rear-wheels with Mitsubishi claiming a range of 100 miles and a top speed of 81mph (130km/h)
GM UK Special Vehicles has pulled the wraps off the all-new Police specification version of the Vauxhall Insignia. Three versions are available. A high-speed pursuit car featuring either 2.0-litre 220PS turbo or a 2.8-litre 260PS petrol engine and all-wheel-drive, or a 160PS 2.0CDTi patrol car. The Police Insignia is available to order direct from GM UK Special Vehicles and comes equipped from the production line with all of the necessary patrol car equipment, including Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) cameras, Automatic Numberplate Recognition (ANPR) system, roof lightbar with 360 blues, side alley lamps, sirens and full comms radio equipment

Donated to Sussex Police by Toll House Kia, the team of Police Community Support Officer’s (PCSOs), based in Steyning will be using the Kia Soul as part of their routine street briefings and the general safe-keeping of Horsham South’s communities. The Neighbourhood Policing Team will continue to patrol the villages from Upper Beeding to Henfield, parking the car in visible spots while they hold their regular street briefings. Toll House Kia has provided the PCSOs with the police-branded Kia Soul Shaker for a year and will replace the car after six months

Romania’s highway patrol confirmed that from next September will use a unit of as a potential squad car, as long as it is argued, reduce accidents in roads. The Seat Leon Cupra has a 240 horsepower 2.0-liter TSI engine, which takes the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. This car goes from a dead stop to the one kilometer mark in 26.4 seconds, topping out at 247 km/h.
